I receive many requests for the “Pin-Ups For Vets” calendars from our brave deployed troops, medics in the field, military unit commanders, military chaplains, disabled Veterans, and military hospital personnel.
The “Pin-Ups For Vets” calendars are being requested to:
- boost the morale of our active duty troops.
- cheer up our hospitalized Veterans who are ill or injured.
You can donate a calendar for an active duty service member in
or Afghanistan. You can donate a calendar that I can personally deliver on my visits to Vets in VA and military hospitals. You can choose to donate calendars for my upcoming trips to VA and Military hospitals across the United States.
Not only will your donated calendars bring smiles to the deployed troops and hospitalized Veterans, but the calendar proceeds this year will go to purchase needed equipment to help improve physical, cognitive and occupational rehabilitation programs at a VA or Military hospital.
Your service organization can
donate calendars, too!
Do you belong to an American Legion Post or a VFW Post or to a Rotary, Lions, Masons, or Veterans group? Is your church or synagogue congregation looking for a way to help others? I hope you can encourage your members to purchase calendars to help with some of the many requests like the ones printed here. . .
“I have a total of 20 Airborne Paratroopers under my supervision. We conduct a variety of patrols and leader engagements throughout our AO. I found your story in the “Stars and Stripes” and thought of how much calendars are needed where we are located. See, we are a very small FOB, slightly over 200 Soldiers, Sailors, and Airmen. We lack lots of the amenities located at larger FOBs (ie: Cold Drinks, Mail, Finance and lots more). I wish to ask if you could send a few of your calendars to our FOB for distribution. I thank you for all your support from the homefront.”
“ We are requesting if you would donate some of your calendars. Our guys work very long days going after bad guys and would love to have a few of your calendars to cheer them up. You have the best calendars around and I was wondering if you would donate a few for the hard working guys here. This would be a great treat for the boys. Thanks for your support to the troops! ”
“ Love your 2007 calendar…We have been deployed for 143 days today and have about 10 months to go…Your 2007 calendar was here in this office when I arrived (and is still here as you can see in the picture) and I was wondering if you could possibly send me your 2008 calendar as I have enjoyed this one for the last 143 days…”
“Actually Gina, what I had hoped for was to obtain a calendar for our Game Room here at U.S. Vets where it could be enjoyed by the 500 Veterans that live at our facility. My first priority is that of the Veterans that I serve here and across the nation.”
“I am a Combat Medic currently deployed on my second tour in
. Treating wounded soldiers is my job, and I take it seriously. The guys coming home to hospitals have so many challenges ahead of them, both physically and mentally, as do the ones still serving here. I think what you are doing is righteous! And just what today’s serviceman needs for a morale boost ! How could I get a few of them sent my way:)? Thanks for your commitment to me and my troops.”
“Hi Gina, I 'm a 100% disabled vet. Could I possibly have a calendar?”
